What is a Strata Manager or Body Corporate Managers Role?
When appointing a Strata Council it is important that property owners take an active role in ensuring that the appointed Council is working effectively and that the duties and instructions are carried out appropriately and in a timely way. However, given time constraints, combined with the need to comply with the complexities of the Strata Act, Councils often are given the approval to engage the services of a Strata Manager or Body Corporate Manager.
The Strata Manager’s role is to take instruction from the Council and to provide professional support and services. They are required to be an impartial advocate for land owners, keep up-to-date with any changes in the legislation and should have skilled people that can work to ensure the needs of the Company are carried out quickly and efficiently.
